The Drama Dept. grew from the collaboration of two cornerstone institutions in the Carmel Arts & Design District: The Ballet Studio of Carmel, renowned for its excellence in dance education and theater offerings, and The Cat, a thriving community theater committed to showcasing local talent. Over the years, Ballet Studio performers have taken the stage at The Cat, forging a strong connection between these two organizations. Together, they have created a program designed to nurture young talent and elevate the local arts scene.

 

With a foundation in music, dance, and acting, The Drama Dept. empowers students to develop confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills. Our comprehensive approach will eventually expand to include technical theater, set design, marketing, and merchandising, offering students a full understanding of the theater experience—from performing to production.

 

Through engaging classes, performance opportunities, and hands-on learning, The Drama Dept. is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of artists and fostering the arts within the Carmel Arts & Design District. Here, every student has the chance to shine, and the performing arts remain a vibrant part of our community.
